My name is Kaggwa James, the trainer of Matsiko. I am writing a report concerning the choir apparently. The choir is composed of 25 children though the most actively attending number is 20. Their ages range from 5-13.

Progress:

The choir is able to rehearse most during holidays and we do it everyday, during school time, they rehearse three times a week. The choir has a CD player which helps us during practice. The great thing is that the kids are fast-learners, which helps us learn many songs both English and Local languages.

Challenges:

Since all the children are busy during school time, and it is not easy to get them together, the choir is faced with insufficient time to practice. So, the biggest challenge at the moment is to have a way of getting the kids together, hence providing more ample time to train.

Suggestions and Possible solutions:

The first suggestion is the urgent need of a children’s home, as this will enable the organization and full control over the children. This will surely affect the progress of the choir positively. Without a home, maintaining the number of children during practice gets to be hard.

In spite of all the challenges, I also want to conclude with a vote of thanks to your entire management and support you have rendered, for instance the children’s choir uniform is in the make, the choir is to record an album from one of the most sought after music producers (David Mukalazi), who has worked for lots of re known artistes in U.K and here, with lots of children’s choirs such as MWANGAZA whose production was so awesome. So, by you helping us have him behind our disc is an achievement for us. We are so proud of you for all you have done, we surely know it is much more than I have mentioned. I also thank Pastor Moses for all his hard work, let him keep it up. I will say it just like many pastors, leaders and people have been quoted saying, “Moses is a man of Integrity and hard work, and a spiritual father to lots of people”. God bless him and the entire ministry from America that is doing all it can to get the kids do well in choir.
