When you sign up for child sponsorship through ICN, you will receive a packet of information and a picture of your sponsored child. With your first payment, your child will receive the information that he or she has received a sponsor. This is a time for great celebration and rejoicing. It is like a child finally receiving his or her long-lost parents for the first time!!!

In addition to sponsorship, you may start writing letters and receiving letters from you sponsored child(ren). You will also receive continual information regarding any events and activities the International Children’s Network is involved, so that you may join in any of these activities. There will be many exciting and different ways to connect with your sponsored child once you have become a sponsor. You may even provide Birthday gifts, Christmas gifts or any holiday gifts if you desire.
The opportunity to visit your child face-to-face is always available through ICN and very much encouraged. There are many ways to visit you child and you can find out more about this by “Getting involved with ICN” or “Traveling with ICN” in addition to many other areas on this Web Site.
Building a Heritage:
The following will provide you a sample of areas for you to develop and determine a financial plan that meets your own personal financial requirements while at the same time contributes to children in need beyond your lifetime:
- Donations from your personal Will
Designating support with assets such as property, securities and cash or providing an endowment or other forms of contributions from your will is one of the greatest contributions that can last beyond your lifetime and additional lifetimes to come. In addition, this is another way to avoid additional Estate Taxes.
- Life Insurance Donations
There are those who have listed ICN as a beneficiary in their Life Insurance policy. Not only is this support tax deductible, but it is an excellent way to contribute in the lives of children as a result of your lifetime of giving and devotion.
- Endowment Donations
When a substantial amount of funds are available to give towards ICN and its work for the children, this creates an eternity of giving!!! Your contribution is placed in an Endowment account for ICN, in honor of your name, where the interest is only used towards the work of the children. - Securities Donation Opportunity
Donating securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds or any other security) directly to International Children’s Network provides you the opportunity to donate larger amounts of finances from areas that might avail you even greater opportunities to make an impact in the life of a child. This too, is a great way to avoid any possible gains tax or off-set any possible income tax for the year!
- A Charitable Gift Plus Annuity
If you are 65 years or older, your immediate gift of cash or other cashable assets can provide (in addition to the tax receipt for you donation):
- a guaranteed and secure income for life at a higher rate of return, often times, than other investments including GICs
- an immediate contribution in the work of International Children’s Network
- Tax free income (depending upon the age of the person contributing to ICN)!!!
- Property Donations
To increase your heritage towards the children, the opportunity for you to donate any personal belongings such as any Real Estate (Personal or Commercial), Land, or any other assets is available. This contribution to ICN will also be tax deductible and will also off set any taxable income or capital gains tax that may have occurred.
- RRIF’s or RRSP’s Donations
Your RRIF or RRSP Donation can be used to off-set Estate taxes resulting from the distribution of the RRSP or RRIF as a result of you placing International Children’s Network as the beneficiary.

Direct Donations, Support and Contributions
Business, Grants, & Personal involvement
Another way ICN seeks support is through Grants, Business and personal donations. If your company offers matching funds or has a charity list, please have the International Children’s Network listed for these financial opportunities!!! Many wonderful businesses are involved in many different ways regarding the support of the International Children’s Network. Various businesses such as Microsoft, Kraft Foods and Boeing provide financial charitable opportunities for ICN. In addition, the Lyons club and Rotary club are also vehicles of participation. In addition to these, ICN has worked with many wonderful businesses regarding assistance in purchasing needed items from Cameras, Musical Sound Systems, etc. Your support in this area can be a tremendous help!!!
Choir Support
ICN is also looking for Choir support. It is ICN’s goal to establish an Orphan’s Choirs from every continent of the world, in order to bring an even greater “spot light” on the needs of these Children! Each Choir, from every continent, is unique and comprised of Orphans from their own local and unique area.
The various choirs travel everywhere possible. For this reason, they perform and earn money for their local programs at home. In addition, the children in the choir will meet many people and establish relationships and opportunities that will last a life time. These children are the very best!!! Every choir representing its nation has some of the best children performers in the world!!! Direct Sponsorship
ICN seeks out Child Sponsorship and support though many avenues. One avenue is through direct Child Sponsorships. Through this program, the sponsor has the opportunity to learn more about his or her sponsored child by direct letter writing, pictures and even e-mails. Through child sponsorship, the sponsor directly impacts the child’s life in a way that is unimaginable. Every sponsored child actually considers each sponsor their own parent. In addition, the Sponsor can tell friends, workers and family about their sponsored child and maybe additional sponsorships for children in need will arise.
