International Children’s Network (ICN) has always believed much of our world’s hope; future, voice, and value are contained within many of its 600 million orphaned and at-risk children. Many of whom are children without a hope or future, while lacking a real voice for help or a perceived value upon their soul.
ICN believes strongly that the more people get to know and meet some of our world’s neediest children and their cultures, the more they will fall in love with them, understand them and desire to work with them. This relationship will empower the children, their villages, nations and even the world.
The best way ICN has seen people learn about other cultures is to combine information and entertainment with the children themselves. Therefore, starting a children’s choir that shares personal life experience and culture through song, dance and story is the best way to understand the different cultures. ICN’s Matsiko Children’s Choir set the foundation to have some of Uganda’s neediest children share with people in the west in order to better understand the plight of our world’s forgotten children. However, the main goal and desire of ICN has always been to have a choir of orphaned and at-risk children from all around the world, and not only Uganda, be the representatives of our world’s struggling children. Therefore, the natural development to have ICN’s sponsored children (from around the world) come together to form the Matsiko World Orphan Choir, and better represent their part of the world is the natural progression, and has been the main goal from the beginning.
This goal of excellence to combine some of our world’s neediest children into one performing choir has now been achieved, and already causing huge stirs of excitement in the nation’s of the children and in the USA!!!
Now that the emergence of ICN’s choir from one nation has matured and grown into its goal with its World Orphan Choir (a choir of many nations), the excitement, hope, opportunity and expectation for many of our world’s hopeless children is just beginning. All of the children around the world and everyone else with International Children’s Network are excited beyond belief in this development, and we are certain the impact will be even greater. We all now wait with anticipation and excitement to see in reality what was once thought the impossible.
Sincerely,
