Born from a heart for every forgotten child in the unreached corners of the world, International Children’s Network began its choir program in 2008, with the first U.S. tour of Matsiko Children’s Choir. Matsiko was the first step toward bringing together children from the various countries in which ICN provides sponsorship networking and with its success, the World Orphans Choir was born. The World Orphans Choir tells the stories of the lives and cultures of children from Peru,India, and Liberia through song and dance as the children’s hearts connect with audiences everywhere.

Matsiko gets it name from the Ugandan word for "hope" and the children sing songs that give just that to those who listen. An ICN Matsiko performance includes much more than the children's beautiful harmonies. During the concert they share cultural dances, act out dramas, and perform some of the most powerful and complex drum routines ever heard.

When you see the choir in action, your heart will melt as the children share their individual stories of how sponsorship has forever changed them.

Through the choir countless thousands of children will be able to be reached with the hope of a brighter future. All proceeds generated by the choir tour and merchandise sales goes directly to support ICN's programs worldwide. These programs provide sponsorships that send children all the way through the university and allow sponsors to meet their child face to face, no matter where he or she is in the world.

Matsiko's first US tour is scheduled for early 2008.
